Well-Being Challenges
BeWell is continuing to facilitate friendly challenges for Penn State Health employees throughout 2025. These free virtual, month-long competitions are designed to promote health and well-being across all areas of the health system. Participate with your colleagues to foster friendly competition and stay motivated all throughout the year.
BeActive
The BeActive Challenge is a free, system-wide, month-long virtual activity challenge for Penn State Health employees, running October 1-31.
Challenge Details:
- Participants are encouraged to engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day throughout the month of October.
- Activities can include a wide range of options, such as walking, yoga, biking, dancing, or household chores
- Download a daily physical activity tracking log here to keep track of your minutes moved.
- Weekly emails are sent to registrants with motivators to stay active and strategies to keep moving throughout the day.

When does the BeActive Challenge begin and end?
The BeActive Challenge runs October 1-31, 2025.
Can I register as a team?
You must register as an individual; however, employees are encouraged to motivate eachother with some friendly competition.
How do I keep track of my physical activity minutes?
Download the log to keep track of your daily active minutes.
What if I do not reach 30 minutes of physical activity each day?
That’s OK! Not everyone will meet the goal of 30 minutes of physical activity per day. Employees should listen to their bodies, have fun and try to improve as the month progresses.
How will I receive communication during the monthly challenge?
All registered participants will receive a weekly email from BeWell with reminders, motivators, tips and tricks to stay active. The weekly email will also contain a link to log your active minutes.
Will there be prizes?
Yes! Participants will be eligible for a random drawing to win PAWS UP! points if they enter their active minutes using the link provided each week.
